Gainfeldwasserfall 

Just a few minutes from the town centre, the Gainfeldwasserfall plunges 50 metres into the valley below. Fed by springs high above the surrounding woodland, it is a striking natural landmark that draws visitors of all ages. Over centuries, the flowing water has shaped the rock face into distinctive basin-like formations. Local tradition
also associates the area around the waterfall with healing properties, particularly for respiratory conditions.

Burgruine Pongowe

A waterfall trail with almost 400 steps leads up to the ruins of Pongowe Castle. The historic castle ruins are well worth a visit, even if only for a short stop. The view over the town and across to the Tennengebirge is simply wonderful. A gentle path then leads back through the forest to the starting point.
