4. Gainfeld Rad Classic Bischofshofen 2026
After a year's break, amateur cycling returns to Bischofshofen in 2026. On 15 August, the Gainfeld-Classic returns for its next edition. "Salzburg has a large and passionate cycling community. It is important to my team and me to give amateur cyclists a platform of their own. We have excellent support from the municipality of Bischofshofen in our efforts to offer an exciting race format for recreational athletes, and preparations for the next edition of the Gainfeld-Classic are already under way," says race director Peter Stankovic.
The uphill race covers 3.4 km and 281 metres of elevation gain, leading from Oberer Stadtplatz in Bischofshofen via Gainfeld to the finish at Gschwendtgut – the same course as in previous years. "The race is open to road bikes, gravel bikes and mountain bikes, competing in a combined category. As in previous editions, there will be three women's categories and seven men's categories," Stankovic confirms. Supporting young talent is a key priority for the organising team, so a children's race will also be held again. "We hope many cycling enthusiasts will save the date and join us in Bischofshofen in August," adds race director Stankovic.
The Gainfeld-Classic 2026 is also part of the Jedermann/Senioren Rad-Cup (jedermannmasterradcup.at).
