Krampuslauf
The traditional Bischofshofen Krampus parade is a highlight of Salzburg’s customs and traditions. Every year on 4 December, numerous Krampus groups make their way through Salzburger Straße from around 7.00 pm.
With hand-carved masks, elaborately crafted costumes and impressive performances, the participating groups showcase the diversity of this long-established tradition.
Another important part of Bischofshofen’s traditional winter events is the annual Perchten parade organised by the local traditional costume association on 26 December.
