Every year, Bischofshofen hosts the grand finale of the Four Hills Tournament – a highlight of the events calendar that draws thousands of visitors.
The day before the competition, athletes gather at the ski jump site for official training and qualification. On 6 January, the day is entirely given over to the final competition, with the award ceremony taking place in Bischofshofen directly afterwards. Visitors travel from near and far to experience the world's top ski jumpers up close. The images broadcast around the world during these days have given the town at the foot of the Hochkönig international recognition.
The Paul-Außerleitner-Schanze, as the ski jump is officially known, is just a few minutes' walk from the town centre, making it easy to reach by public transport. A great opportunity to experience Bischofshofen at its liveliest.
